About Our Updates
Como Audio issues free software updates as we deem necessary. All updates are sent via WiFi so there is no need to download any files or connect your Como Audio system to a computer. Updates may add a new feature, improve an existing feature, fix a bug, etc. Unless you have changed the preference in the System settings menu, your Como Audio model will automatically notify you whenever a new software update is available (this is the factory default setting). You can also manually check for new updates any time by pressing and holding the Menu knob to get into the Menu > System settings > Software update > Check now.
It is very important you do not disconnect the power to your Como Audio system while a software update is in progress or this could permanently damage your unit.
Como Audio Software Update History
- New: Improves reliability for UK classical Internet station Classic FM
- New: Support for Internet radio stations and podcasts using the newer https protocol. Such stations/podcasts will now play instead of causing the Musica to freeze or reboot.

This will be found under System settings (with the unit on, press and hold the remote’s Play/Pause key) > Time/Date > Scroll down to Date format > Select the date format you prefer. The date is shown in certain modes and when the Standby format under Time/Date is set to Digital

- New: Improved FLAC streaming via Tidal.
- New: Tidal login change. Note this change is required by Tidal for Como Audio to retain Tidal service and Tidal certification. After the software update, using the Como Control app in Tidal mode, you will see an Amazon login instead of Tidal. Select it and it will bring you to the correct Tidal login. Log in to your Tidal account and enjoy streaming Tidal on your Musica. You will not have to repeat this process again unless you log out of Tidal. Musica’s display will initially not show any Tidal artwork or meta data. However, if you change the source, such as to Internet radio, and then go back to Tidal, artwork and meta data will be shown from then on. We are investigating these issues but did not want to delay this important update or risk losing Tidal service due to non-compliance with their required changes.
- New: Restores ability to save tuned Internet station as a Favorite using remote’s Play/Pause key (after registering on Portal)

- New: Adds support for free version of Spotify
- New: Adds support for “Works with Alexa”
- Important note: Currently, the Nuvola skill (which allows the Como Audio Musica to work with Alexa) can be downloaded from registered Amazon accounts in the USA, UK, and Germany only, and will then work in the USA, UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Spain. Amazon accounts outside of the USA, UK, and Germany currently do not support Nuvola.
